Information about SOLA Market

About

Art is your sixth sense.

SOLA Market is a second-hand, circular marketplace for artists to buy, sell, and trade art materials, gear, tools, and equipment. We are focused on making art production more accessible, equitable, and sustainable.

Based in NYC, SOLA Market was founded by Oluwakemi Oritsejafor in 2022. Along the way we aspire to make more ideas tangible through education and community with thoughtful programming, events, and collaborations.

Honeysuckle Summer 2023

This summer, we are presenting the Honeysuckle Summer Series and bringing SOLA Market to debut in select cities: Chicago, Atlanta, Raleigh, and New York City! SOLA Market is partnering with each city’s leading art and cultural institutions for our core event, a curated in-person marketplace for artists to find and share the art supplies and gear they need. Paired with sustainable art workshops, we embody our mission to make art-making and production more accessible, sustainable, and equitable to artists, creatives, and art communities.
